Ingrown: If there is any pus noted call your dr. If it was infected prior to the procedure you should be on antibiotic. Soaking in epsom salts should help you.

Nail procedure: It is normal at your age soak your foot in warm water and vinegar for 5 mins 3x a day.

Continue soaking and: Follow up with your surgeon. If he/she gave you antibiotics, make sure you finish the prescription. Usually, patients will soak and apply topical antibiotic ointment and bandaids 1-2x daily. Review your instructions from your doctor. Discolorations around the nail can last up to a week. Make sure you call your doctor if you feel you are not making progress according to what your doctor told you.
