A member asked:

My 6 mth old just started crying and screaming every time i have put him down 2day. we were outside today for >2hrs could he have gotten colic?

Unlikely: Colic in infants is a descriptor used in the first 3-4 mo. Not @ 6m.Six mo is a point for many infants when they realize how important their primary caretakers are compared to strangers. They begin to have a natural separation anxiety that reflects their fear that you will not come back if you put them down. Continuing to carry them everywhere reinforces the idea & traps you. It improves in time.
