Anemia: Thalassemia anemia is a genetic disease that usually affects people of mediteranean origin. It is a disease which affects the hemoglobin of the red blood cell causing anemia. It comes in a more virulent form which requires transfusions and a trait or minor which does not require active therapy.

May Not need any: Thalessemia has varied presentation; typically when diagnosed in adult like, it is mild as severe forms typically manifest in childhood.
