Possibly: Socks are better! warmth is generally good. Hot is a concern if there is any insensitivity or neuropathy, or vascular obstructive component. We have seen burns and gangrene from injudicious heat or fireplace proximity! too frequent water can lead to maceration - so careful attention to drying and maintenance of skin integrity is important.

Raynauds: I would recommend avoiding putting the extremity in hot water as this may damage the skin. The best idea as to wear mittens on the hands and warm socks on the feet and slowly rewarming if necessary rather immersing into hot water.
