Miscarriage & lupus: Having a diagnosis of lupus ( sle) and history of misscariage- you should discuss with your doctor about perhaps referring you to see a hematologist to rule out antiphospholipid antibody syndrome ( aps). Aps can cause pregnancy-related problems, such as multiple miscarriages, a miscarriage late in pregnancy, or a premature birth due to eclampsia. Aps also will increase your risk for blood clots.
