Chronic Pain: It is very difficult to differentiate musculoskeletal, neuropathic or psychogenic pain because they manifest similarly and they affect the same system. The association with certain lesions in the spine, with chronic diseases like diabetes, herpes infection or cancer may indicate the diagnoses, or the presence of post-traumatic stress disorder could be diagnostic as well. Work with your doctor.
