A member asked:

Expired antibiotic is it a problem for the child ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

May not work: While the antibiotic is not likely going to harm the child, the harm is that it may not work. If your child has an infection that needs treatment, then they need an unexpired antibiotic to treat the infection. The untreated infection is more the danger, not the old, useless antibiotic.
