Pore size on face: Pore size is genetically determined. There aren't very good methods for minimizing them. Retinoid creams like retin a, (tretinoin) tazorac help refine them. They will help decrease the oiliness of the face. They have to be started slowly twice a week at nighttime & gradually increased to every night. Also they are not allowed during pregnancy & they do make your skin more sun sensitive. Use sunscreen daily.

Pores: Pore size is difficult to alter. Oil reduction in the form of toners, Alpha hydroxyacids (glycolic) , salicylic acid washes, etc. May all help to reduce oil or sebum. Your dermatologist will be able to tailor a treatment plan for you.
