No: Peptic ulcers are benign. Most are caused by a bacteria ( h. Pylori). However, some cancers (especially in sto, mach) present as ulcerated abnormalities. Location, size, appearance, response to therapy are all important favtors. Biopsy (tissue sampling) can be very helpful.
