YES!: You must make a concerted effort to leave it alone for at least 3 days, then can check to see if any decrease in size. If yes, give it longer. If no, then see dr to determine if should get needle biopsy or other testing. Local agitation / irritation can keep it inflamed / enlarged. Good luck!

No: That should have no effect. The reason for the swollen gland should be determined , however.
