You need to: Take a break. It sounds like a muscle strain. If it is just under the rib it can take some time to heal as it may be where the muscle attaches to the rib. If not sick, try 2 aleve (naproxen) 2 x per day and to not work those muscles, stretching ok, and a heating pad when needed. Good luck.

Hard to say : Unfortunately, it is hard to say for certain without being able to ask you more questions. But my first thought would be that you pulled a muscle between your ribs. It happens often, people have sustained this injury after sneezing! gesundheit! try taking over the counter anti inflamatories. I personally prefer aleve (naproxen).
