May be : He has an asymmetric correction(anisometropia). His right is very far sighted(hyperopic), but the left eye has sl correction which is normal for his age. The huge differences in both eye may lead to a lazy right eye (ambylopia). He prefers to look through his left eye. He will need to wear glasses and patch 1-2 hours per day to the left to help to develope his visaul pathway in the right eye.
