Yes: Pain on the abdominal wall in a single nerve root distribution can be quite severe and feel as if there is something inside you. It will, however, appear with skin lesions. If these are not present, herpes zoster (shingles) is unlikely, although not impossible. Get a doctor to look at these. Treatment now may save you from misery in the future.
