A member asked:

Can you get bacterial menegitis without having a fever ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Meningitis can result from infections of throat, nasal passages and ears. Fevers are not required. There may be rashes due to the bacteria which causes meningitis. Everyone must be careful to watch for the disease - especially in close quarter living (military basic training etc) and can be spread by cough.
