I'm 13 weeks pregnant and had a pelvic exam, do they cause miscarriage? are they safe?

No and Yes: No, they do not cause miscarriage. Yes, they are safe. Normal, healthy pregnant women have sex during pregnancy without causing problems (so briefly moving the cervix and uterus during a pelvic exam is fine to do).
