A member asked:

Does developing a uti affect the copper t in any way? can you become sterile or move it from its original position?

It shouldn't: An uncomplicated urinary tract infection (UTI) should not have any effect on your copper iud. The iud sits within the uterus, which is separate from the urinary tract. Of course, you still want to be sure to complete your antibiotic treatment so your UTI is properly cleared from the body.

Should be OK: Should not make you sterile or cause iud to move. Worth separating thighs widely when you urinate.
