Hormone imbalance: You may not be releasing an egg or ovulating. This may be caused by hormone irregularity or problems from your ovaries or the pituitary/hypothalamus (an organ in the brain that makes hormones). A common problem is polycystic ovaries. Taking the Provera (medroxyprogesterone) and then stopping signals your body to menstruate. Thyroid problems and pregnancy may cause this as well. You need to have further testing.
