How serious is having diarrhea off and on for the past month could there be a connection between that and being told something is off with your liver

It Can be: You should get checked and find out from your doctor: what is the cause of your diarhhea? It may be infection, malabsorption or due to irritable bowel. Liver function tests(lfts) should be checked if not done already. If the lfts are abnormal, then you need to find the cause? It can be hepatitis, alcohol or some intrinsic disease of the liver, which may need to do a liver biopsy, possibly.
