Why the Sink?: Why would anyone pour their urine down the sink, when the toilet is right there? Urine goes in the toilet, not the sink...Ever. Urine is a biological waste product, and yes, illnesses and diseases can be passed from various bodily fluids. Bacteria is usually not present in urine, but after a day, depending on what it's in/around...Who knows, who wants to know! toilet.

Why: Urine is sterile upon excretion, but can become contaminated. Why pour it down the sink. That's what the toilet is for. And why would you be saving 1 day old urine anyway? Would you dip your families toothbrushes into the toilet before using them. Yuck.
