Yes: The herpes virus can be on anything that has touched the open sore. Do not touch the cold sore, wash your hands frequently , do not kiss anyone and seek treatment if you get them regularly.

Yes: The virus will pass on from one person to another person with close contact, including sharing the same tooth brush or lipstick while the virus can survive in our saliva and body fluid. But it might not be infectious depends on host immune system.

Very Contagious! : The herpes virus, unlike HIV /aids, can be transmitted by sharing a toothbrush or lipstick. Never us a department store "tester" and don't be cheap buy your own toothbrush! i hope you agree that spending a few extra dollars is worth a lot of "piece of mind.".
