Threatened abortion.: First trimester vaginal bleeding is called threatened abortion. Most cases turn out fine, but it does increase the risk of fetal loss, preterm birth, small baby and preeclampsia. See your gynecologist to get a pelvic ultrasound and reassurance. Take Folic Acid 1-5 mg daily and good luck!
