Can i take a regular woman's vitamin like vita-vim for women and a folic acid supplement of 1000mcg while pregnant instead of a prenatal vitamin?

Prenatal vitamins: Its probably ok to do this, but if the issue is the vitamin is too big, ask for a chewable. If it makes you nauseated ask for one that has something in it to help with the nausea or take it at night. In addition talk to your OB about your need of an essential fatty acid called dha, which is good for fetal brain and eye development.
