Is alcohol an anticonvulsant like other gaba agonists or no?

Good question: Not really an anticonvulsant of any therapeutic use; the abrupt/constant rate of elimination could make seizures even more likely in someone already prone. Let s suppose that as a gabaergic agent, somebody uses it as "medication"...Everyday? Tolerance will even complicate things more; rapidly you made someone alcohol dependent. When "treatment" stops, he/she will likely be at risk of seizures.
