Alternatives: Your lactose intolerance is because you lack the enzyme in your gut to digest it. There are commercial products (LactAID milk) that have added the enzyme.You can also tale the enzyme (lactase) as a pill when you consume such products. Soy milk is naturally lactose free so it won't bother your system. Some cheeses like sharp cheddar have lost most of their lactose in production.
