Hearing Aids: As a general rule, the only realistic option for sever sensorineural hearing loss are hearing aids. Newer technology has made hearing aids much more effective at improving your daily quality of life. If the hearing loss is almost completely gone, a cochlear implant may be effective. However, as long as some hearing is still present, hearing aids will be the best option.
