Source of Glucose: You should have an id bracelet that identifies you as diabetic in case you get into a situation where you cannot tell someone. Too low on the blood sugar. An emergency source of glucose for the same reason. Glucometers are small and portable these days. You being able to keep your sugars under control is the ultimate goal of any diabetic management plan.

Candies/glucometer: Candies or glucose tablets in case medicines lower glucose too much, or equivalent ( snacks, juice or soda). If they use Insulin they should carry their Insulin and everything associated with it( syringe with needle or the pens with insulin, alcohol pads). Also the glucometer with strips and needles, gauze, to check the glucose.
