Care vs CLOSURE: Your husband should have this foot wound evaluated by a wound care professional. There are many factors that can contribute to the delayed healing of a wound, such as a burn.. The foot and wound need to be evaluated for adequate blood flow...The lack of is very painful. Several other factors to be evaluated include infection, pressure, irritation, inflammation, etc.. Contact a wound closure center.

Concrete: The chemicals in concrete are caustic. White vinegar compresses can help as well as topical care with neosporin and band aids or sterile dressings. If there is any odor or purulent drainage seek medical help right away.
