A common type of: Tendon irritation that occurs in pregnant women is dequervains or stenosing tenosynovitis of the wrist at the base of the thumb. Thumb and wrist motion hurts especially with deviation and lifting. This is often made worse after delivery as now there is the need to lift and carry especially the car seat etc. Talk to your doctor about a splint ( soft works better), nsaids, hand surgery consult.

Carpal tunnel?: Carpal tunnel of pregnancy is very common. Usually, it does go away after some time. You might need to get a cock splint. You can get these at a pharmacy. Use with ibuprofen. If you dont see improvement, have your doctor check it out. Rarely, women will need surgery for this.
