Situational: Did you have laparoscopic surgery or not? Generally it takes 6-8 weeks for the tissue to heal completely. If your in great shape, not overweight, eat a healthy diet, and have no other complicating medical conditions, you should begin short distances at 5-6 weeks and increase distance 10-20% weekly until you reach her goal as long as you don't have any setbacks. Make sure you inform your Doc.
