ReActive.y soon: Laparoscopic or open 2-4 weeks is reasonable but arbitrary... Incision healing well no pain full mobility stretch well? Off pain meds.

Dr. orders: Each person can heal differently and recover in varying ways from this type of surgery. I would ask your surgeon for the best approach to getting back into your miles

Situational: Did you have laparoscopic surgery or not? Generally it takes 6-8 weeks for the tissue to heal completely. If your in great shape, not overweight, eat a healthy diet, and have no other complicating medical conditions, you should begin short distances at 5-6 weeks and increase distance 10-20% weekly until you reach her goal as long as you don't have any setbacks. Make sure you inform your Doc.
