It depends: If the appendectomy was done laparoscopically, a motivated patient can get back to vigorous activity in 5 to 10 days. If done openly, it might be a month or more. Listen to your body -- if you start to run, and it hurts, your body is saying it's too soon. If it doesn't hurt, go ahead. The best person to ask would be the surgeon who did the operation.
