...carefully!: In med school, they taught us "the doctor that treats himself, has a fool for a patient!" it is very difficult to be objective when examining yourself or someone you love- emotional factors can play a huge role in what you perceive. If you are not accustomed to feeling lymph nodes on a daily basis, in health and disease, you're just not qualified to make the call. Experience is very important!
