Not necessarily : Whether you are prescribed statins or not are dependent on other issues. Your LDL of 122 is fine as long as you are not a post-heart attack patient. If you are a diabetic, this may also may influence your physician's decision to try statins. If you have no health issues at all, these levels appear fine.
