I have noticed when i stand up my legs go numb. its only happened for a couple of days. are these signs of stroke with arm pains too?

Maybe arthritis: Your description of both legs going numb only when standing up sounds like something is going on in your lumbar spine, like degenerative changes of lumbar spine and discs or lumbar spinal stenosis. The fact that arms are hurting may be indicative of more spread osteoarthritis involving upper extremities. If your symptoms are severe, go to er for evaluation. But it doesn't sound like stroke to me.

Weakness: Strokes do not normally cause pain. People may notice numbness or weakness in the face, arms or legs (usually on one side or another) or they may have difficulty speaking or thinking. Leg numbness can be from the brain, spine, or peripheral nerves and it should be checked out by your doctor.
