Lightning pain: This is a common happenstance which ophthalmologists term "lightning pain". It does not indicate anything wrong, certainly feels like a needle poke, but in a few seconds ends and leads to no problems that anyone has ever experienced. Don't worry about it, and it might happen a few more times.
