Lots of cream: You'll need to apply a thick moisturizing cream after every time you wash your hands. My personal favorites are shea butter and eucerin cream. Burts bees also has a nice hand salve that is more portable than a big tub of cream.

Not too Clean: Often times "germaphobic people" wash there hands too frequently and it stripps the skin of its natural oils that are there to protect agains bacteria and keep the hands moist. Don't over do it with the detergents and hand washing.
