Abscess or Gland: If no teeth are hurting & it has not been more than a few months since seeing your dentist, i would say it is most likely a salivary gland blockage or possible an infected gland. If any teeth hurt, it could be an abscesses tooth. In either case you need to see a dentist for antibiotics & treatment.

See your dentist: You should see your dentist to rule out a more severe cause such as oral cancer. He will be able to recommend treatment if necessary.
