Continue to decrease: You should continue to decrease slowly one dose levvel lower every week. You may need immediate release morphine sulfate(msir) to go down below 20mg of ms contin level and take that down to 10 /day and then 5 mg per day and finally over to prn( as needed) basis for a few more days and then quit but be prepared to take a mild tranquilizer afterwards for another 1 month. The trick is decrease slowly.

Suggest subaxone : You are taking a high dose of morphine . I doubt that you will be able to taper your self off easily. You have intense withdrawal and is already opiod dependent . Using subaxone will take care of your pain and is dosed once a day . Withdrawal of subaxone is less intense.
