Possibly: Less than 5% of people with nail psoriasis have only that as a manifestion of psoriasis. In other words the majority of people with nail psoriasis have more diffuse disease- on skin or systemic. It might preceed more systemic disease but in a small number of cases it could be the only sign of psoriasis.
