Sxs: In some people, psychotic-like symptoms (such as voices) can be a part of their borderline personality disorder. It is not a common symptom, however. If it is there, it is usually caused when the bpd person experiences intense stress and (for all intents and purposes) has a psychotic episode. It is not a permanent state and is not the same as schizophrenia.

Restate: Could you restate your question please? Borderline involves disturbances of identity and being manipulative. Dissociation is the main component of dissociative identity disorder. And hearing voices is usually thought of as part of the psychotic disorders, most notably schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders.
