With 670 miu/l prolactin level (10 months ago it was only 283 miu/l) will i need an mri exam? i have pcos+igt for which i take medicine. thank you:)

Prolactin elevations: Prolactin is a hormone released by pituitary gland. It stimulates breast development & milk production. Prolactin elevation can be caused by: chest wall trauma, hypothalamic disease, hypothyroidism, kidney disease, pituitary tumor (prolactinoma), other diseases, and a whole list of medications. Mri is needed to r/o pituitary tumor which can press on optic nerve and cause loss of vision.
