No : That is not a normal reason to do a hysterectomy at all. Usually when a hgsil pap is found then a colposcopy is done. Once a colposcopy is done then a biopsy is done which gives you a diagnosis. Once a diagnosis is made then options such as cryotherapy, leep and cold knife conization is done to rule out cervical cancer.
