10-12 weeks: The normal newborn acne or newborn rash can last 2-3 months. If the baby is irritated by it, scratching , itching, etc. Consult your doctor.

Multiple causes: There are many causes of newborn rashes. The change in exposure to maternal hormones via placental transfer may result in neonatal acne. No soap or lotion on the face is suggested. If there is drainage, redness or swelling, please see your pediatrician right away.
