A member asked:

Can you please explain bone cancer and risk factors?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Varies: Most "bone cancer" is actually metastasis from another cancer type (lung, breast). The most common primary bone cancer in adults is osteosarcoma, which relative to other cancers is very rare. Children are affected y different types. Rarely pre-exitisting bone disease such as paget's can transform, but there are not a lot of true risk factors. These tend to be sporadic tumors.
