Not an antibiotic: Garlic is not an antibiotic. There are many health benefits derived from ingesting garlic, but if there is an infection involved, it's best to consult with your physician. Most antibiotics are safe to use while you are pregnant.

Not if relied on!: Garlic will not treat an infection, so if you rely only on that, it is not safe for you or your unborn child! see your ob\gyn or dentist or both depending upon where the infection is.
