No: Singulair (montelukast) is indicated for asthma and can also have some effect on people with allergic rhinitis. This medication is no indicated for food allergies and will not stop a food allergy reaction should it occur. Epinephrine is the only medication that will stop a food allergy reaction and should be carried at all times if you have a confirmed allergy.
