A member asked:

Can you use singulair (montelukast) for your allergies?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes!: Singulair (montelukast) is one of many options for allergy treatment. Singulair (montelukast) is known as a leukotriene receptor antagonist. I know, not a great name. Well, it blocks leukotrienes that can cause itching, swelling, redness, etc. By doing so, singulair (montelukast) can reduce allergy symptoms, but it works best if you take it daily. I hope this helps!
