I'm just wondering, if you start puberty will you definitely start your period?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sequence of events: The most common physical sign seen with female puberty is the appearance of nipple growth. Menses usually occurs about 2.5 years later and the whole process can last from 3-6 or so years. The presence of a period is usually only confirmation of the various working parts. Delay in menses after age 15 requires a workup by a pediatric endocrinologist.
