A member asked:

How are aid/hiv and cancer different?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Different Diseases: Aids is the disease caused by an uncontrolled infection with the HIV virus. The virus hijacks normal white blood cells to copy itself and in the process kills them wrecking the patient's immune system in the process and making them susceptible to many other infections. Cancer is when normal cells are damaged and grow uncontrollably into tumors and spread around the body.
