Usually: When a woman is having break through bleeding on her birth control pill most of the time she will have a normal period at the correct time. However i've had patients who had break through bleeding and then don't get a period at the usual time. I think this is because all the lining of the uterus came out as break through bleeding, so there was nothing left to shed on place saver pills.
