Then don't: As we continue to figure out what the true health benefits vs risks alcohol has on the human body, I am not currently recommending to my patients who do not drink, that they start drinking. However, if you already drink 1-2 drinks a day, there seems to be good evidence that it is beneficial. Thus, I do not make them stop. But don't start, especially at 33. Too much time to develop an addiction.
